Grand and Main (The District)

Grand and Main, or The District, is an $80 million, walkable, mixed-use development in the heart of the Old Meridian area of Carmel. This project includes 76 townhomes, 159 senior living units (176,000 square feet), a four-story, 61,000 square-foot hotel with 105 rooms, a four-story, 305-unit apartment building (362,881 square feet), and a 563-space parking garage.

Future commercial taxes from the project (TIF) were used to construct roadway infrastructure. Grand and Main increased the assessed value of these parcels by 274%.

This project broke ground in 2006 and was completed in 2018. The Carmel Redevelopment Commission partnered with Edward Rose & Sons on the development of this project.
