Sophia Square


Sophia Square is a $60 million, five-story, mixed-use project that contains 214 luxury apartments (230,517 square feet of residential), 33,113 square feet of first floor retail, and a 401-space free public parking garage. Construction of this project commenced in the fall of 2008 and was completed in 2011.

Future commercial taxes from the project (TIF) were used in part to construct the 401-space free public parking garage, streetscape improvements, and the public courtyard.

Sophia Square increased the assessed value of the city block by 3,386%.

The Carmel Redevelopment Commission partnered with Keystone Group, LLC on the development this project.
