The Palladium at The Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art centerpiece for the arts and creative community anchored in the heart of City Center. The remarkable Italian Renaissance-style architecture houses a $130 million, 1,600 seat, 151,000 square-foot concert hall.
This project was built by the Carmel Redevelopment Commission and designed by David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc. of Washington, D.C. The construction of the Palladium commenced in the spring of 2007 and it opened in January 2011.
The Palladium is the center piece for the City’s master plan and a catalyst for more than $300 million of economic development throughout Carmel’s core. The Palladium had a significant impact of the successful redevelopment of City Center, transforming farmland into the thriving, vibrant, and award-winning masterpiece it is today. The Palladium has stimulated development and investments in the central core, shapes Carmel's identity, and sets the standard for world-class architecture in Carmel.
