Midtown West is a $60 million project that includes the Merchants Bank Headquarters, the Railyard at Midtown Apartments, and a 370-space free public parking garage.

Future commercial taxes from the project (TIF) were used to construct the free public parking garage and roadway improvements.

The Carmel Redevelopment Commission partnered with Merchants Bank of Indiana and Barrett & Stokely on the development of this project.

Merchants Bank

Merchants Bank, located along the newly expanded Monon Boulevard, is a five-story, 120,000 square-foot building that is home to the Merchants Bank headquarters. This building includes 8,000 square feet of retail space and 112,000 square feet of office space as well as a 144-space parking garage. Merchants Bank increased the assessed value of this city block by 2,394%.

The construction of this building was complete in September 2019.

The Railyard

The Railyard at Midtown is a five-story, 208-apartment building with a 370-space public parking garage. This building contains 216,236 square feet of residential space and 12,000 square feet of retail. The Railyard at Midtown increased the assessed value of this city block by 42,458%.

This building was substantially complete in January 2020.
